Course Completion |
The maximum time allowed for completing a
course is six months. Three months are allowed for completing a
placement test. |

or by phone for an appointment |

Certificate of Completion
|
Students who successfully complete
their course
will automatically receive a certificate of completion. Credits are
granted in accordance with the procedures established by the
Ministere de l'Education, du Loisir et du Sport |

| Secondary
School Credits in General Education |
Distance education is governed
by the Regulation respecting adult education. This means the same rules
apply to distance education and to all school boards offering
adult education in Quebec. |

Learners must accumulate 54 secondary IV and
V credits to obtain a Secondary School Diploma (SSD) |
|
The 54 credits are distributed as follows:

mandatory credits
|
6 Secondary
IV credits in English mother tongue, 6 Secondary
V credits
in English mother tongue, and 6 Secondary V French as a second language |

36 elective credits |

credits in Secondary IV and 18 credits in Secondary V ,

Credits are calculated differently in
the adult sector. Therefore if you already have Secondary IV or V
credits from the youth sector call us and an
advisor will analyze your

Supervised examinations in
General Education
|
If you live on the Island of
Montreal, in Laval or on the North or South Shore of Montreal, you will
write the Secondary IV and V general education
examinations in our offices. You must reserve an examination date by
calling the person responsible for examinations at (514) 798-8808 or
1-800-950-5552, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may
